The COLLOSSEO (Colosseum) — the grandiose amphitheatre erected in Ancient Rome during an epoch Flaviev.
The Collosseo building collapsed: frequent earthquakes, fires, the barbarous relation of people. During an epoch of the Middle Ages it was used as a stone quarry: stone blocks took for constructions of palaces and churches is there was a period of the greatest destructions. Only from the beginning 19 century began to be engaged purposefully in preservation of a monument and to spend archeological excavations.
